  Lilith Performance Studio presents four performances at the festival for performing arts organized by Museum of Contemporary Art in Roskilde, Denmark.

  For the second time the Museum of Contemporary Art presents the festival ACTS – Festival for Performative Art. ACTS 2012 takes place in an enormous factory hall at the industrial compound Musicon in Roskilde. With its 1,800 m2 the factory hall creates an impressive setting for the festival, featuring live performances at the intersection of image, sound and performing arts.

  A special section of the program has been curated by Lilith Performance Studio, who has specialized in producing performances by visual artists from around the world. Lilith will present 4 durational set performances that have previously been shown at Lilith Performance Studio between the years 2010-2012.

   

  Einat Amir
  Enough About You

  Amir creates a sensuous venue and an observatory for physical encounters, which is controlled by a predetermined template. In the work she explores the meeting as a real action and as an image, from a traditional starting point of two people, face to face.

  Tanya Mars sits by a festive table with white linen tablecloths, 500 plates, candles and 40 beautiful cakes. During a four-hour long process Mars eats the cakes without for a moment consider the idea to offer someone a taste.

  Without chronological steering the viewer is released free in a labyrinth system of paths and rooms. Fifteen participants are moving in the system’s given framework and staging course of events that could be taken from a bloody dream or a violent and absurd fable.

  The Tin Jungle

  In a tent-like structure hanging from the ceiling to the floor a scene takes place like a movie that stutters. A man struggles to overcome his obstacles and fears, but his mistake is repeated, again and again, in a loop that never ends.

  Lilith Performance Studio delkuraterar och presenterar fyra performance på performancefestivalen ACTS som arrangeras för andra gången av Museum of Contemporary Art i Roskilde, Danmark.

  ACTS 2012 äger rum i en enorm fabrikshall på industriområdet Musicon i Roskilde. Med sina 1.800 m2 skapar fabrikshallen en imponerande inramning för festivalen som presenterar performance inom bild -, ljud – och scenkonst. Lilith Performance Studio har kuraterat en del av programmet under ACTS och visar fyra storskalig performance som tidigare har visats i studion mellan åren 2010-2012.

  Enough About You

  Einat Amir har skapat en sinnlig spelplan och ett observatorium för fysisk blinddate, som styrs efter en förutbestämd mall. I verket undersöker hon mötet som reell handling och som bild, utifrån en i grunden traditionell metod, två personer ansikte mot ansikte.

  Tanya Mars sitter vid ett långt festbord bestående av vita linnedukar, 500 assietter, ljus och 40 vackra tårtor. Under fyra timmar äter Mars sina tårtor utan att för ett ögonblick överväga tanken att erbjuda någon en smakbit.

  Utan kronologisk styrning släpps betraktaren fri i ett labyrintsystem av gångar och rum. Ett tjugotal aktörer rör sig i systemets givna regelverk och iscensätter skeenden som skulle kunna vara tagna ur en blodig dröm eller en våldsam och absurd fabel.

  Inuti en fem meter hög tältkonstruktion utspelas en scen, likt ett filmklipp som har hakat upp sig. En man kämpar för att övervinner sina hinder och rädslor. Hans misstag upprepas om och om igen i en loop som aldrig tar slut.
